PROJECT SUMMARY
These Jefferson Woods clients knew they wanted their entire property illuminated being at the end of a cul-de-sac where there was very little light. Security was a large part of the front lighting design. Adequately lighting the driveway was important due to the length of it and not being perfectly straight. During the design phase, Southern Lights provided the road map and detailed lighting designs for this client capturing this beautiful setting at night creating the most ideal landscape lighting scenes.

This project begastarted with the architecture of the home and then moved outward into the landscape. LIGHTING DESIGN
Ideal landscape lighting should evoke Safety. Security. SERENITY and should always start with a design. This beautiful white brick home needed some attention to highlight its features. Using the homes white color to our advantage by allowing the light to correctly reflect light back into the landscape and onto the driveway we not only illuminated the property beautifully, but we also provided a great deal of security lighting giving our clients a peace of mind as they drive up to the home late at night or enjoying the backyard patio and landscape.
HURDLES TO OVERCOME
Designing an ideal landscape lighting system takes planning. Getting light to the right place in the front and backyard took some skill and time to coordinate installing wire to the desired fixture location. This property required our skilled lighting technicians to install lights in the gutters and soffits throughout the property to produce the perfect effect and continued architectural lighting.
Not pictured in this gallery of photos, you’ll find a trampoline in the backyard that this couple wanted to be illuminated, but not consistently. As they were on the outdoor patio enjoying a glass of wine, they wanted their kids to be able to play and jump on the trampoline safely. The goal was not to highlight this feature all the time, but but give enough control to be able to turn them on separately when desired. In this case, the lighting design required the use of an in-line dimmer and on/off switch allowing for on demand control of the trampoline’s illumination.
