CREATING CHRISTMAS MAGIC IN OAK RIDGE, NC

This past December, Southern Lights took on one of our most ambitious holiday lighting installations yet, transforming an expansive estate in Oak Ridge, NC and turned it into a radiant Christmas masterpiece. This project showcased our holiday lighting skills in handling large properties, complex designs, and ensuring every detail shines bright.

CHRISTMAS LIGHTING INSTALLATION FOCUS

At the heart of this project, we used commercial-grade LEDs, known for their superior brightness, energy efficiency, and durability. These LEDs provided a consistent warm glow that enhanced the home’s architectural features and rooflines, along with the homes sprawling landscape. We only use products that are rated the highest on the market, leading to the lowest failure rate and call backs.

The distance of the house from the road added another layer of complexity to the lighting design. To ensure the home stood out, we used the brightest C9 led bulbs and added a layer of light on the surrounding trees. Balance is important to create a welcoming feeling, even from afar. The driveway, lined with Starlite Spheres (glowing orbs) helped to elegantly light trees and created a grand entrance that set the tone for the entire property.

This estate, nestled in a serene area of Oak Ridge, NC, spans several acres of rolling landscape. The size and scale of the property required meticulous planning and execution, from outlining the home’s intricate rooflines to illuminating the towering trees and driveway.

CHRISTMAS LIGHTING DESIGN

Creating a Christmas lighting design for a property of this magnitude required a combination of artistry and engineering. Here’s how we brought the vision to life:

Roofline Lighting: Using commercial-grade C9 LEDs, we outlined every architectural feature, from steep peaks to rounded arches. This added depth and dimension to the home, making it the centerpiece of the property.
Tree Lighting: Tall evergreens and bare deciduous trees were decorated with Starlite Spheres, creating an enchanting forest-like effect. These lights were carefully spaced to highlight the trees’ natural beauty and provide light around the base of the tree and driveway entrance. Guests were guided by this stunning lighted path, which gave a magical touch to the approach.
